About the Class
If you’re furious, exhausted, or barely holding it together in the face of everything crumbling around us, you’re not alone. Trans Torah for Our Terrible Times is here to channel that rage, fear, and exhaustion into something that can sustain us. This series is about survival — spiritual, emotional, and communal — in the face of an encroaching fascist regime.
Hosted by trans Torah thought leader Lexi Kohanski, these interviews with trans Jews won’t shy away from the harshness of what we’re facing. Together, we’ll dig into the Torah and wisdom that’s keeping us going, not to sugarcoat the moment but to give us tools to keep resisting. While rooted in trans experiences, this series speaks to anyone feeling crushed under the weight of now.
Like most offerings from The Torah Studio, it’s drop-in — no need for weekly commitment. Show up when you need it, like you would for a yoga class, but for your Jewish practice and your sanity.
This offering is free for trans folks! If you're trans, please use the coupon code IAMTRANS at checkout. To buy a Class Pass for this series, trans people are invited to use the coupon code IAMTRANSCP at checkout.
Please note that the session with Joy Ladin on May 12 will take place 3 hours earlier, at 2pm PT/5pm ET.
